The Taste of Coco-Bahamas exists to commemorate the historical significance of the West Coconut Grove community, now named Little Bahamas, Coconut Grove. Under the auspices of Leadership Prep Foundation Inc. non-profit arm, its creation has ties to the Stirrup Family Foundation, who held steadfast with their hopes of developing the community and preserving its rich cultural heritage. One of Leadership Prep Foundation goals is to create a vibrant work development plan that will reenergize the West Grove District while simultaneously restoring the community relationship with the government of the Bahamas in the cultural, educational, youth sports and tourism initiatives.
The mobile restaurant is a melting pot of culinary blends, sports tailgating, and exquisite musical performances. The atmosphere is one of unity, appreciation, and togetherness, fostering connections between individuals from highly differing and disconnected communities.
