Miami / Bahamas High School Basketball Invitational Tournament

The Miami/Bahamas High School Basketball Invitational is more than just a sporting event, it is a cultural experience that aims to bring together high school basketball teams from the United States and the Bahamas to compete in a highly competitive and culturally enriching three days of Roundball competition for boys’ and girls’ teams.  This event is not just a basketball tournament; it was created as a platform for fostering sportsmanship and cultural exchange between participating schools and attending fans. The inaugural event is scheduled to take place from December 27 th to December 29 th, 2024. The chosen location for this inaugural tournament is the vibrant and picturesque neighborhood of Coconut Grove, Florida on the campus of Ransom Everglades High school known for its beautiful landscapes, diverse cultures, and strong sports heritage. 
Coconut Grove highlights the locale appealing climate, excellent hosting facilities, luxury hotels, restaurants galore, scenic water views and strong community support offering a memorable experience that extends beyond the court, providing valuable culture experience while fostering a sense of global community. Partial proceeds from the event will be donated to a local non-profit charity, Leadership Prep Foundation Inc. Additionally, it balances key operational considerations such as excellent venue selection, luxury hotel accommodation, safe and easy transportation to the host venue ensuring a well-organized and enjoyable experience for all participants. Logistical aspects of the tournament, including the number of participating teams, game format, and qualification criteria will be provided very soon as organizers strive to finalize what promise to become the premiere high school sporting event in the State.
Lastly, the inaugural event will welcome invited Bahamian Chefs to showcase their culinary skills at the local “Taste of Coco Bahamas Village,” where locals and tourist can experience the exquisite island cuisines cooked up by Bahamian Chefs and shop for a variety of arts & craft from the Bahamas.
